About Us

Welcome to All About Axolotls — a family-run website created to share our love of axolotls and help others learn more about their care, welfare, and responsible ownership.

We are Holly, Dan, Oscar, and Archie, and our journey with axolotls began thanks to Oscar and Archie’s love of Minecraft. After discovering axolotls in the game, they both became determined to have one in real life. Before making that decision, we spent a lot of time researching axolotl care together to make sure we could provide them with the safest, healthiest, and happiest home possible.

That research quickly grew into a real passion.

I’m Holly, and I’m very nearly a qualified vet, so proper animal care and welfare have always been especially important to me. As a family, we wanted to approach axolotl ownership responsibly, making sure we understood their needs before welcoming them into our home.

Last year, we brought two axolotls into our family. As time went on, we discovered they were male and female. After carrying out careful background checks into their lineage and origins, we decided to allow them to breed responsibly, and we were delighted to welcome our first clutch.

The idea for this website came from Oscar, who wanted us to create a place where we could share our experience and help other people who love axolotls too.
